My Life as a Brock Grad...

began in December, thus ending the adventures of ashley and bill. this was kind of sad, but at the same time i am glad not to be at school anymore, since Meghan and Mikey aren't there anymore it kind of sucks, we had the best times together. It was Meghan, my idol, who inspired me to start this blog in the first place. I wish that I could be in North Bay right now having more good times. I am now trying to find a job in the accounting field somewhere. I have been applying to places like mad and have had a few interviews. It's like more school though, because i had to get this freaking huge textbook and STUDY for one of them. WTF??? Anyways, sorry I have been so slacking on getting this posting up. after 8 comments requesting a new post, i think that it is time. I started another one about the kitchen a while ago, but it sucked balls, so i gave that up. I might try to put some pictures up later, but this is most likely my goodbye posting. But don't cry, because i am kicking around the idea of a new blog. Something like The Adventures of Ashley in Workland. This is a rather poignant moment in my life, this posting is potentially closing a chapter of my life that I can't ever get back. Luckily I will still be able to live out the fun times with my good buddy Meghan b/c we are from the same area, I shudder to think what life would be like if me and meghan and mikey all lived very far apart, but we don't, so i don't have to worry about it :D yeahsies! well folks, it's been swell, thanks for going through my adventures with crazy bill with me! You aren't my fans, I am your fan!

So the "problem" that I was having getting the videos to come over to my blog....wasn't so much of a problem as just a very long delay...lol.

I woke up this morning..and every video that I have sent to my blog in the last week was there. I guess that is a good thing.
Keith Urban - Jeans On
Pam Tillis - Cleopatra, Queen Of Denial
Bomshel Stomp - Dance Instructional Video

The best dance ever...I was going to save it for Song of The Week Sundays...but I didnt' want to wait...
It will definitely be worth the 11 minutes to watch it.
I also discovered that we were doing unnecessary "pelvic thursts"

Song of the Week:

Keith Urban- Jeans On

This song is awesome. I had never heard it before a couple of weeks ago at Cowboys...and the first time I didn't like it...however..I heard it a few weeks later and became quite a fan...i think because of its catchiness. Than I went on a mission to find it. I didn't know who sang it..and I didnt' know what it was called....upon a little tiny investigation I discoverd that it was called "Jeans On"...adn it was sung by none other than Keith Urban. The crazy part is is that the song is on one of his cd's that I have...not his newest one..but the one before that..Golden Road...I guess that just goes to show how well I listen..lol

So..click on the link and you can hear it...and watch Keith Urban preform it.

Also..Keith urban has a "tiger in his tank"...whatever that means...

The lyrics: (in case you can't get them from listening)

When I wake up in the mornin' light
I pull on my jeans and I feel all right
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
It's the weekend, and I know that you're free
So pull on your jeans and come on out with me
Oh 'cause I need to have you near me,
I need to feel you close to me
I need to have you near me,
I need to feel you close to me
You and me, we'll go motorbike ridin' in the sun
And the wind and the rain
I got money in my pocket, I got a tiger in my tank
And I'm king of the road again
I'll meet ya in the usual place
You don't need a thing except your pretty face, alright
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
Aw, here we go mama
You and me, we'll go motorbike ridin' in the sun
And the wind and the rain
I got money in my pocket, I got a tiger in my tank
And I'm king of the road again
When I wake up in the mornin' light
I pull on my jeans and I feel all right
Hey I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on

Bathroom Update:

After last weeks post about the bathroom, I thought that considering the most recent developments, It required an update. As of Wednesday, the aquatic shower curtain was down, and what was revealed behind it was apparently a broken shower. Seeing as I had been gone all day on wednesday, and had used the shower at 6:00 that morning, I was unsure of what was going on and the first thing that runs through my head is.....shit..what did I do. I think that I did nothing...i'm pretty sure the water was off, adn I think that my shower went find...so whatever.

The next thing to go through my head is....I can't go multiple days without a shower...I like to shower...sometimes I have one when I am bored. Than I discover the note on the door:

Ummm....I dont' know how comforatable I am with that...so yesterday passes and I don't have a shower because well...I think that it is just weird. I think that last night she became slightly concerned about Bill and mines hygeine, as I think neither of us had braved using her shower. So she ammended the sign. The pencil writing..it says..."Early or late Anytime- OK".

When I talked to Bob on Wednesday, well actually when he talked to me because lets be honest...I dont' talk to strangers..lol he told me that it woudl be a couple of days. I'm am still a little bit unsure of what he spent the entire day yesterday doing because it pretty much looked the same as it did wednesday night...oh well. This is the current state of it: From the looks of it, we will be getting some new tile...that is exciting...but I don't think that it is going to be done anytime soon. I dont' think that Bob is really a "quick" worker..however he does like to talk..lol I'm not really overly concerned about it now...I am going home this afternoon and won't be back until Tuesday and I'm pretty sure that it should be done by then.

So anywyas...the point of the story...this morning I had to bite the bullet and have a shower...so I woke up...and did every other possible thing that I could do before heading downstairs. I was nervous....was I supposed to ask if it was OK....was there another bathroom that I didnt' know about that maybe I was supposed to use....I didnt' know...so I packed up my little basket with all of my supplies..adn headed out my door..i got to the stairs and turned back...maybe I can wash my hair in teh sink?....clean myself off with a washcloth.....No Ashley dont' be stupid...go have a shower..you know you want to...so i walked down the stairs....the office door leading to the bathroom is open and the bathroom door is wide open..so I figure I can just go in....I do...as I walk through the door into the hall I look into the "family" room downstairs and there is Marion just sitting on the couch..I think I may have startled her...because she made a noise...but I continued on..not saying a word...than I got in the bathoom and her clothes for the day were lying out on the counter...ummm..maybe she was just going to have a shower..so I decided that maybe I shoudl ask her....so i open the door..and than i changed my mind..she did say anytime was OK...so I had my shower...however I was very selfconcious of how long I was taking...but I took my time anyways. I was paranoid about getting water on the floor. It was not an enjoying experience, although the shower was a bathtub one, but it was very large I liked it..however the water pressure was not nearly as good as it is uphere in teh shower...

The moral of the story is....dont' be scared..just go have a shower...adn hopefully MY shower will be fixed by Wednesday....because I don't like being brave.

Garbage Duty

Yesterday was my first day that I had to put out the garbage. Apparenlty it is one of those chores that the landlady thinks we should all share in. I personally believe that she should just do it...we are paying enough money to live in her house...but whatever. By the time that I got back to St. Catharines last night it was 8:00, so I was putting the garbage out in the dark. That is not really a problem. I am not overly scared of the dark, and it is not a bad neighborhood, so I wasnt' afraid of being attacked...lol. The problem being that at the back of the house, there were no lights...or at least not any that i could figure out how to turn on. So I knew that the garbage cans and the "organics" are kept beside the garage outside..so I figured that out all right. However, the one can was full, and I had two little bags...so decided that instead of going through the effort of hauling out the other can, I would just put the little bags beside the full can and that would be good. So I did that. Than I had to find the recycling. This week was teh blue box...because St. Catharines is stupid, and only collected certain things every other week..but that is not the point of this story. I knew that it was in the garage. The garage that I had only ever been into once..adn that was when I was looking at the place. I had tried one other time, but couldn't find where the recycling stuff was, because there is like part of her office back there. So here I was in the dark....i got through the first door...adn than i knew that there was another door on the right...so I felt around...adn found it. Than there was a key in it that I had to unlock. I did that successfully too. Than I was in the garage...now it was pitch black and I needed to find the light switch. So I felt around on teh walls.....and eventually I found it. So I took the blue box out to the road...adn there it sat. I came back and closed everythign back up and went inside to watch tv and go to sleep.

This morning I woke up.....and when I left, I checked the curb to see that good work that was my putting garbage out. Much to my dismay....the little bags were kind of "mauled". There was some loose garbage on the grass and the bags were over on teh other side of the front lawn. Oops. I continued on my way. I didn't want to touch Bills garbage. I figure the garbage people might pick it up...adn if not....I can always blame the nieghbors...lol

What have I learnt about putting out garbage?.....it is important to put the bags in the garbage cans. My next garbage chore is on October 31st...halloween. We will see how that goes. It'll be grey box week that week....STUPID.

JUST LEDOUX IT!

Alright...no more laziness...I punked my brothers keyboard.although he has now stolen it back but i did some deconstructing and made the space bar work a little bit. I just have to be careful. I will nowchoose a song.

Good Ride Cowboy by Garth Brooks.

I am choosing this song for 2 reasons:
  1. Last night on CMT I did see this song on a Garth Brooks Special and he came out of retirement to record it in memory of Chris LeDoux
  2. Because I jsut found a really cool video teaching a line dance for the song.

So....hear it is

Good Ride Cowboy

I don't have the song hear...but for my loyal readers...if you want it..jsut let me know and I will "hook you up"

The lyrics are:

From the hills of Kaycee, Wyoming
Where life's wooly and wild
There's a Navy brat in a cowboy hat
And that Copenhagen smile
And from buckin' broncs to honky tonks
He always sang a cowboy's song
We were much too young, havin' too much fun
As we all sang along

We sang Life's a Highway
There's only one way you're gonna get through it
When she starts to twist be more like Chris
Pull your hat down tight
And just LeDoux it!
When that whistle blows
And that crowd explodes
And them pickup men are at your side
They tell you good ride cowboy, good ride

From gold buckles to gold records
Once again he was spinnin' 'round
Took the whole world on
And he turned us on to that Western Underground
And from Bareback Jack to This Cowboy's Hat
The songs were stronger than his pain
He would not slow down from town to town
Like children running thru the rain

We sang Life's a Highway
There's only one way you're gonna get through it
When she starts to twist be more like Chris
Pull your hat down tight
And just LeDoux it!
When that whistle blows
And that crowd explodes
And them pickup men are at your side
They tell you good ride cowboy, good ride

We sang Life's a Highway
There's only one way you're gonna get through it
When she starts to twist be more like Chris
Pull your hat down tight
And just LeDoux it!

When that whistle blows And that crowd explodes
And them pickup men are at your side
They tell you good ride cowboy, good ride
When we cross that river Jordan,
With St Peter on the other side
Singin' Good Ride Cowboy, Good Ride!
Say Good Ride Cowboy, Good Ride!

Song of The Week

This weeks pick is proving to be a challenge for two reasons. The first being that there are not any songs that are popping out at me. And secondly because the space bar on this computer is not working, which consequently is m aking the typing of this post take about 5X longer than necessary. I am doing my best to make it work though...so no worries.

The song choice is.........................

well...i am going to leave it up to my readers. What are your favourite songs?
